The life of a country veterinarian is composed of providing preventative and wellness care during regular business hours and then emergency care at all times through the day. No matter if you own a cat or dog, or equines and livestock on your farm, when your animal is experiencing a medical emergency waiting for morning is simply not an acceptable alternative to immediate care.

The Veterinary Clinic of the Mineral Area understands this and attempts to provide emergency coverage for our clients, as we are open until 10:00 PM every evening. If your pet is experiencing an emergency please call our hospital at (573) 756-9400 and you will be directed what to do to ensure you receive care as soon as possible.

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Acute abdominal swelling
  • Electric shock
  • Excessive vomiting or diarrhea
  • Excessive bleeding
  • Exhibits symptoms of heat stroke
